About us
Bourne Support Group - Parkinson's UK, provides a necessary and valued service for the community. Parkinson’s is a neurological condition for which there is NO cure yet. Patients survive on a great deal of medication and determination to continue with ‘normal’ daily living and enthusiasm to enjoy life as much as possible. What we, the general public, take for granted can be an enormous effort for most people with Parkinson’s.
We have lobbied for provision of Parkinson nurses and even funded service until established locally.
We need your help so we can continue to offer and even maintain our service! This is especially so with our weekly Pilates sessions held in Thurlby Methodist Church Hall, every Tuesday 2.30 - 3.30 PM. With Parkinson's and movement it is a question of "use it OR lose it!"
We also hold an information day annually to make people more aware of the disease, its consequences and on the brighter side, what can be done to allieveiate symptoms.
In anticipation, thank you for your support and good luck!
Yours sincerely,
Mr Brian Turner - Local Secretary
