About us
Peterborough and District Deaf Children’s Society provides a much loved and valued service for the community.
Our service is vital to our deaf children as learning this essential skill in a mainstream class is extremely difficult, often leading to low confidence and giving up.
We provide small classes with specially trained Deaf Aware teachers. This means that deaf children are able to have all the attention they need and full access to learning.
This also provides social time for the children who can become isolated due to communication difficulties. The children are often the only deaf in their school or area. The classes also bring the parents of deaf children together to discuss issues and support each other.
These are the only Deaf Aware swimming sessions in this area and are very much needed to continue. It is a lifeline in so many ways
We need your help so we can continue to offer our service in Stamford.
Thank you for your support and good luck!
Yours sincerely,
Mrs Amy Fisher
