The Thorold in Marston was bought through community shares from a property developer.
The building has been refurbished and reopened as a Community Hub including a pub, outreach Post Office and a shop. The project is about saving village life.
During Covid-19 the pub was closed, although the PO and shop remained open providing vital services for our tiny rural community.
Following government guidance were we able to re-open the pub and cafe from 4th July with social distancing measures in place although with reduced hours.
Nevertheless, our future, like many businesses, is unknown and fund-raising remains key.
We need your help so we can survive the consequences of the closure and impacts of social distancing. The Hub is an integral part of our community helping to prevent social isolation, provide key services and is a meeting place for neighbours, friends and visitors of all ages.
Thank you for your support and good luck!
